Until I finish my own book on Money & Meaning...

(which will be comprised of material I've written or researched for teaching and speechs, for an upcoming WeBLog or newsletter, etc.)

allow me to point you to these if you are working to improve your relationship with money and find more meaning in your life. (Besides they'll always be wonderful supplement in any event!)

First, I recommend signing up for this service/tool. It's risk free for 30 days and I know you'll love it. It will help you control your money instead of it controlling you because you'll see how to make better decisions, learn a lot about credit, and be able to protect your identity with the monthly tri-merged report and resources they offer.

I'm assigning this to my for-credit students, like I do the books below, so I recommend it to you too. Feel free to contact me about other things I assign them that may help you as well. In the meantime, read about the books below and also check out the product overview of this service that you can join for a lesser price through the link below.

Back to the more traditional books....

I routinely get positive feedback about these three books. I have my students read them in their entirety and write about them. If you stick with them as if you were being graded on your reading and keep an open-mind, you will also get great benefit from them.

The titles and content may surprise you (especially the Man's Search for Meaning's content) but if you fully engage these and think about life, money & meaning as you do you will come out with a deeper understanding.

Man's Search for Meaning
(First published in 1946 but the 1984 (or later) version is the one you want--it has an added chapter. Be sure the book is titled simply "Man's Search for Meaning" NOT "ultimate meaning")
by Viktor Frankl

Affluenza: The All Consuming Epidemic (2001)
by DeGraaf, Wann & Naylor.

Your Money or Your Life (1992)
Dominguez & Robin

There are lots of other great books out there....Like "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" etc. but I recommend you start with these. :-)
